Original Creation

Fancy lady in B&W

Voy Kay 16 Apr 2020

Borrowed a white marker from my daughter, took some old black, very thin cardboard paper (8"x8") and drew this in a couple of minutes. I love these kind of dark faces/figures with only a hint of light lighting them up.
Most difficult for this creation was getting the marker borrowed!

My apologies Voy, but I see some gentleman there. There was a movie, I remember nothing about, but there was a man in a hat with long hair. I guess it was some kind of modern western...this immediately popped up in my memory when I saw the silouhete.
I mean no offence.

Dear Sunnylady, no offence taken, no worries. I just glanced at the original and it is a lady for sure. It's just my drawing that was a little incompetent (first time with a marker!). I will see if I can add more femininity to it!

Done, it's a bit more feminin now. I will post it as a second picture to this one, as soon as Felix made that option online, which should be soon.

What amazes me how quick you did this. I think this is fantastic to have so many talents! I think this explains why you are so good with animal silhouettes ! I think linear art (from word line) give a lot of space for viewers interpretation however it still guides the mind wonder in the real world.

sorry for the typo "wonder" was meant to be "wander".

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

Well, can you imagine that four and a half years ago, I was paralyzed on my right side (my dominant side) from eye to toe. I revalidated almost completely but still talk a bit funny and have fewer control over hand and fingers. These fine drawings and paintings are really very hard for me and I make happy mistakes a lot that way.
No worries, I am still smiling every day!!

You are warrior Voy! You are doing great job with the involvement in the art! And art brings happiness. Thanks for sharing your story.
